A new Asian American convenience store held a grand opening on Friday. Stop & Shop QC is a wine, beer and spirits convenience store with snack bar and is located at 3340 E. Kimberly, Suite A. in Davenport.
The convenience store has lots to offer from everyday essentials to Viral Asian snacks, classic American favorites, imported drinks and goodies, liquor, beer, lottery, cigarette and vapes, live bait and fishing tackle, trendy gifts and souvenirs.
They also will be introducing their Vietnamese fusion kitchen inside the store that will officially open Friday, April 17. The kitchen will offer will offer a quick, to-go style setup made for convenience without sacrificing flavor. Some of the kitchen items include fresh, made-to-order eats, weekend only Vietnamese banh mi, rice boxes and comfort favorites and more.

Stumphy's Restaurant & Bar opens at Sugar Maple Golf Course
Husband and wife team opens new restaurant inside Sugar Maple Golf Course in Geneseo. Stumphy's Restaurant and Bar opened Tuesday and is located at 19283 E. 1600th Street.
Owners, Amy and Jason Stumphy, have experience in the restaurant business and have been married for 23 years.
"He is the chef and I run the front," Amy said. "We met at Captains Table back in the late 90’s and he recently left Tangled Wood in Bettendorf."
Jason was the chef at Captains Table and Tangled Wood.

Next Level Athletics Tumbling, Gymnastics and Cheer ribbon cutting
The family-owned gym expanded to a second location at the Bettplex in Bettendorf. Next Level Tumbling, Gymnastics and Cheer will hold an open house and official ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, April 17, at 6954 Competition Court in Bettendorf. Open house is from 4-7 p.m. and ribbon cutting is at 5:30 p.m.

From the family that brought Jim's Rib Haven, Al & Irene's Bar-B-Q House is the newest in the family legacy of barbecue in the Quad-Cities.
Al & Irene's Bar-B-Q House at 831 W. Third Street in Davenport officially opened on Friday, April 3. Owner Zach Quarterman opened his restaurant in the former Yoshi's Bar & Filipino Canteen. The restaurant was originally opened by his grandfather, Alfonzia Quarterman, in Cedar Rapids in the 1980s.
On the menu include barbecue classics: pulled pork, beef sandwiches, half chickens, ribs, rib tips, hot wings, coleslaw, French fries, baked beans and mac & cheese. Homemade barbecue sauce in mild and hot are available.

Joe Mickley and family is the new owner of The Combine Bar and Grill in downtown Cambridge.
The laid back and friendly neighborhood bar and grill is located at 117 N. Prospect St. in Cambridge.
The announcement of the new ownership was made on Facebook on Thursday. "This afternoon, I'm proud to announce and introduce Joe Mickley and family as the new owner of The Combine Bar and Grill, downtown Cambridge," said Todd Maertens, former owner of The Combine Bar & Grill.
"In addition to Charli's Pizza and Briggs' Bistro, Joe will take over ownership and operations of The Combine immediately. The restaurant and bar will remain open with business as usual. Kindly use any gift cards/coupons you may have by May 31. After this date, they will be void. Joe is looking forward to this new venture and has plans for expansion where you'll be able to enjoy all your favorite foods and drinks from Charli's, Briggs', and now The Combine....all in one place!
